Hydraulic anchor load cells are basically a ring-shaped pad, filled by de-aired oil connected to a Bourdon manometer that indicates the load applied to the cell.
An electric anchor load cell is basically a toroidal stainless steel body sensed with electrical resistance strain gauges, in a Wheatstone bridge configuration, to ensure, together with the special cell design, a very low sensibility to eccentric loads.
Both models are supplied with a very stiff load distribution plate in order to equally distribute the force around the instrument body. Different anchor load cells dimensions and measuring ranges are available to suite main Customers requests.
Steel lining load cells are specially designed to be installed under steel lining feet in order to control the load transmission applied from surrounding rock/soil to the beam. They are circular pads, filled by de-aired oil and sensed with an electrical pressure transducer. This model of load cell is available with special spherical twin plates for application between non-parallel surfaces.
Electric solid resistive load cells are very robust and designed for long term stability. They can be used in pile load testing or in any other project where a wide measuring range is requested.
All Sisgeo load cells with electrical signal output can be manually read with a portable readout or can be connected to OMNIAlog datalogger for automatic data management and alerting.
