Piltun-Astokhskoye is primarily an oil field, and Lunskoye is primarily a gas field. <\/p>\n<p>The project has been met with heavy criticism over the potential environmental impact, which could include driving the world\u2019s last 100 remaining Western Pacific gray whales to extinction. The project is managed and operated by Gazprom lead consortium Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. (Sakhalin Energy). <\/p>\n<p>Sisgeo was called to monitor a critical zone interested by a lot of landslides and instable soils where oil and gas pipelines are installed.
