Ils sont largement utilis\u00e9s dans la r\u00e9habilitation des barrages. Les pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres fournissent des donn\u00e9es permettant de comprendre le comportement des eaux souterraines et leur impact sur la stabilit\u00e9 des structures g\u00e9otechniques et des ouvrages souterrains, tels que les fondations, les murs de sout\u00e8nement, les barrages, les pentes, les tunnels et les mines. Le choix de la bonne solution pour mesurer la pression des eaux souterraines ou le niveau d&rsquo;eau dans le sol, la roche ou \u00e0 l&rsquo;interface entre une structure et le sol doit tenir compte de la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 du sol et de l&rsquo;objectif de la mesure. <br \/>Les deux principales classifications des pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres sont les \u00ab\u00a0pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres ouverts\u00a0\u00bb et les \u00ab\u00a0pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres ferm\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Les <strong>pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres ouverts<\/strong> (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9s pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres \u00e0 tube) sont des conduites compos\u00e9es principalement d&rsquo;une partie inf\u00e9rieure avec un filtre (filtre poreux Casagrande ou tube \u00e0 fente\/cr\u00e9pine) et d&rsquo;un tube plein simple ou double reliant le filtre \u00e0 la surface. L&rsquo;eau s&rsquo;\u00e9coule \u00e0 travers le filtre et atteint, apr\u00e8s un certain temps (fonction de la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 du sol), un niveau d\u2019\u00e9quilibre. Si le filtre n&rsquo;est pas scell\u00e9 dans une nappe phr\u00e9atique donn\u00e9e ou s&rsquo;il est enterr\u00e9 dans la couche phr\u00e9atique, le pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tre ouvert indiquera le niveau de la nappe phr\u00e9atique. Si, par contre, l&rsquo;unit\u00e9 de filtration est scell\u00e9e dans une certaine couche et ne recueille que l&rsquo;eau de cette couche sp\u00e9cifique, le pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tre ouvert mesure la pression de l&rsquo;eau interstitielle de cette couche. Dans ce cas, on parle de pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tre Casagrande.    <\/p>\n<p>Les <strong>pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres Casagrande<\/strong> sont souvent utilis\u00e9s pour contr\u00f4ler la pression interstitielle dans les sols de perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 moyenne. Les pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres ouverts sont lus \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un indicateur de niveau d&rsquo;eau (WLI), \u00e9galement appel\u00e9 jauge pi\u00e9zom\u00e9trique, ou d&rsquo;un capteur de pression relative (mod\u00e8le Sisgeo P252R). Un capteur de pression absolue peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 si la pression barom\u00e9trique est compens\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide des donn\u00e9es du barom\u00e8tre local, pour obtenir des r\u00e9sultats pr\u00e9cis.  <\/p>\n<p>Les <strong>pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres ferm\u00e9s<\/strong> sont int\u00e9gr\u00e9s directement dans le sol, la roche ou l&rsquo;interface roche-sol et dans la structure au niveau o\u00f9 la pression interstitielle doit \u00eatre surveill\u00e9e. Le capteur de pression absolue (g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement appel\u00e9 simplement pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tre) est disponible avec diff\u00e9rentes porosit\u00e9s de filtre, en fonction de la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 du sol, et avec diff\u00e9rentes technologies de capteur. Les pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres r\u00e9sistifs (mod\u00e8le P235) sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9s pour la surveillance \u00e0 court terme et les mesures \u00e0 haute fr\u00e9quence, comme dans les essais de pompage ; les pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres \u00e0 corde vibrante (mod\u00e8le PK45 ou PK20) sont utilis\u00e9s lorsqu&rsquo;une surveillance \u00e0 long terme est requise, comme dans les projets de barrage. S&rsquo;il est n\u00e9cessaire de surveiller la pression de l&rsquo;eau \u00e0 plusieurs niveaux, la solution la plus appropri\u00e9e est l&rsquo;installation d&rsquo;une cha\u00eene de pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres \u00e0 corde vibrante multipoints (mod\u00e8le PK45M). La technique d&rsquo;installation sugg\u00e9r\u00e9e est la m\u00e9thode \u00ab\u00a0cimentation compl\u00e8te\u00a0\u00bb, qui permet une installation et une r\u00e9ponse rapides aux variations de pression. Pour certains besoins, l&rsquo;installation de pi\u00e9zom\u00e8tres dans poches de sable filtrant, scell\u00e9s par un bouchon de ciment ou de bentonite, peut \u00eatre conseill\u00e9e mais plus difficile \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre.     <\/p>\n<p>Les <strong>d\u00e9versoirs \u00e0 \u00e9chancrure triangulaire (V-notch)<\/strong> sont des instruments de contr\u00f4le des d\u00e9bits dans les canaux ouverts : le principe de fonctionnement est que le d\u00e9bit d&rsquo;eau est proportionnel au niveau d&rsquo;eau au-dessus du d\u00e9versoir. L&rsquo;eau s&rsquo;\u00e9coule dans le bassin de tranquillisation en amont et sa hauteur est mesur\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;une \u00e9chelle limnim\u00e9trique ou, pour les mesures automatiques, d&rsquo;un capteur de pression install\u00e9 dans le bassin de tranquillisation. Le d\u00e9bit dans le canal ouvert est calcul\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;une \u00e9quation. L&rsquo;une des applications les plus importantes est la surveillance des pertes d&rsquo;eau d&rsquo;un barrage : la quantit\u00e9 d&rsquo;eau perdue est un param\u00e8tre permettant d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer la performance d&rsquo;un barrage et constitue une partie importante de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme.   <\/p>\n<p>De nombreuses informations et suggestions concernant
