Il sistema consiste in una serie di misuratori di livello H-Level collegati idraulicamente a un serbatoio di riferimento situato in posizione stabile. Ciascun misuratore di livello H-Level \u00e8 dotato di un sensore di pressione ad alta risoluzione che monitora la prevalenza di liquido risultante dalla differenza di altezza tra il sensore e il serbatoio di riferimento.  <\/p>\n<p>L\u2019<strong>assestamento multipunto<\/strong> \u00e8 un sistema idraulico che pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per monitorare i cedimenti al di sotto di rilevati o dighe in terra. Il sistema consiste in una serie di trasduttori di pressione a corda vibrante o piezo-resistivi collegati idraulicamente a un serbatoio di riferimento esterno. Questi trasduttori di pressione, dotati di una piastra di base, sono installati all\u2019interno del rilevato.  <\/p>\n<p>L\u2019<strong>estensimetro magnetico BRS<\/strong> \u00e8 una colonna costituita da un tubo guida, una guaina corrugata antifrizione e una serie di anelli magnetici di riferimento fissati sulla guaina. La colonna viene calata in una perforazione e fissata al terreno circostante tramite iniezione. Qualsiasi cedimento o rigonfiamento del terreno viene trasferito agli anelli magnetici. Una semplice sondina magnetica collegata a una piattina graduata e inserita nel tubo guida \u00e8 in grado di rilevare la posizione degli anelli magnetici e quindi il movimento del terreno. L\u2019estensimetro BRS non \u00e8 un sistema di misura estremamente preciso, ma \u00e8 poco costoso e permette di misurare molti punti di riferimento all\u2019interno di una colonna.    <\/p>\n<p>Gli <strong>estensimetri fissi<\/strong> sono fondamentalmente colonne utilizzate per monitorare i cedimenti tra due punti. Il punto pi\u00f9 basso pu\u00f2 essere una piastra installata all\u2019interno di un terrapieno o un ancoraggio installato in un foro. Nel punto pi\u00f9 alto, il cedimento viene misurato con un rilievo topografico. Le misure possono essere effettuate anche in modo automatico utilizzando speciali trasduttori di spostamento.
