Fuel terminal monitoring

Supply of instrumentation for the monitoring of fuel terminal tanks in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador. The scope includes the monitoring of the settlements of structures through H-Level settlement cells and tiltmeters. The settlements and horizontal movements of the ground will be evaluated through IPI inclinometer probes and DEX S probes.

DEX-S 3D extenso-inclinometer

Reference products codes: DEX-S The DEX-S extenso-inclinometer is a 3D probe with an exclusive merge of two sensors: a high accuracy biaxial MEMS inclinometer to read displacements on horizontal axis, and a contactless magnetic sensor to monitor the vertical displacements. A chain of probes installed in a borehole allows the unique advantage to return a […]

Ulu Jelai Hydroelectric Project, Malaysia

The Project will involve the construction of an accumulation reservoir (Susu Reservoir) with two main water intakes, Telom Intake and Lemoi Intake, located upstream of Susu reservoir. The main part of the project is the construction of the Susu dam on the Bertram River, more than 80 m high and entirely built using the advanced […]

FAQ#116 – How do I configure a WR-Log digital node to read RS485 Sisgeo TIMED sensors?

Sisgeo digital instruments can operate in two powering modes: TIMED or ALWAYS-ON (for more information see F.A.Q.#094).A string of mixed instruments consisting of TIMED gauges and ALWAYS-ON gauges cannot work. The first thing to do is therefore to check that ALL connected instruments in your array are set to TIMED mode. You can check the powering mode […]

FAQ#087 – Could the IPI, BH Profile and DEX probes have problems in frozen water?

Sisgeo suggest that frozen water within the inclinometer casings is to be avoided due to following reasons: – Ice within the casing will affect functionality of the systems by blocking the individual probes;– Mechanical damages can occur to the probes, but also to the inclinometer casing due to the expansion of frozen water In any […]

FAQ#081 – Which is the maximum cable length for DEX and DEX-S probes?

The maximum instrument cable length from DEX probe to datalogger is 200 m. If the automatic data acquisition system includes distributed external multiplexer box, the maximum cable length is 200m from DEX probe to multiplexer box plus 200m from multiplexer box to OMNIAlog (in total 400m).

FAQ#031 – Is the DEX system suitable for in-place applications?

DEX system has been designed for automatic soil settlement monitoring (vertical movement) in unattended location. DEX system consists of a string of DEX probes installed in borehole within a ABS inclinometer casing. DEX-S, the combined inclinometer-settlement probe, provides both horizontal movements (X, Y-axis) and vertical settlement (Z-axis) for 3-D borehole automatic profile monitoring.
